Influenster Tasty Vox Box

I received my first Influenster Vox Box today, here is my review of the products

In the box that I received complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes (lucky me.. om nom nom) I was given…

A voucher for a complimentary tub of Country Crock Spread, a voucher for a smart ones weight watchers item, a bottle of Frank’s Red Hot (and yes, I do put that sh*t on everything), a sample of Splenda naturals, some Kashi dark cocoa power (I’m not even ready.. so excited), Frenchs crispy fried onions (hello green bean casserole), and some recipes for tasty cookies!

Country Crock & Frank’s Red Hot

I already use Country Crock and Franks red hot, so I was pretty pumped to get some extra for my stash. Let’s be honest… I always have an extra bottle of Frank’s in the cabinet. Best part? You can combine the two to make some delicious wing sauce! I also love to cook some zucchini in a little Country Crock, pepper, and a dash of celery salt – YUM! If you haven’t had the Buffalo chicken dip recipe on the Frank’s bottle… you haven’t lived yet. I always add extra Frank’s to mine and use baked pita bread when I dip! Good stuff! The Country Crock is also the perfect touch for mashed potatoes!

So now for what I’ve never tried before…

Splenda Natural

I used this product in my coffee this morning and I actually enjoyed it. I don’t normally use any sweetener in my coffee but I swapped it for the extra bit of creamer I normally use and it was great! It doesn’t taste like a sugar substitute, sweetened just enough, wasn’t gritty, and didn’t ruin my coffee. I would certainly recommend this as an alternative to extra creamer or sugar.

Yogi Tea

In the Yogi Tea sample there were two varieties: Green Tea Kombucha and Cinnamon Berry Probiotic Balance. I enjoyed the Kombucha much more than the cinnamon berry. Not a huge fan of that combination together. I’m also not a big tea drinker so I probably wouldn’t but this again but I would certainly recommend this brand.

Kashi Dark Cocoa Power

I was pretty excited to try this one because I love dark chocolate! I was also nervous because I’m not big on protein shakes, but it turned out pretty good. I did not get a photo of the finished product but that just means it’s easy to fix on the go! This was breakfast and it certainly was quick and easy to fix. Right out the door we went! If you like protein shakes, then you should give this one a try!

The only thing I have not tried yet is the SmartOnes meal. Hopefully it’ll be as pleasing as the rest of this Vox Box was!

Please let me know what you thought of your Vox Box, what you liked and disliked and if you have tried any other variations of these items you enjoy!

If you haven’t checked out Influenster yet, do so today!

Until next time,

My favorite rebate app reviews!

So I think I have a problem… I LOVE REBATE APPS! Mainly because I like the challenge of seeing how much I can save on our everyday purchases. I also use coupons so that I can maximize my savings (not extreme couponing here though).

I have compiled a list of all the rebate apps I use so you can check them out! I have included how much I’ve earned! By far the easiest to use have been Walmart savings catcher, ebates, and snap by groupon. The ones who I have seen the biggest earnings come from is Ibotta and ebates.

I bought our new car seat using ebates. We have Amazon but I got it cheaper on Kohl’s after considering rebate money, plus I got $50 kohl’s cash! Whoop! Def. check that out if you’re in the market. Especially for big purchases!

So here is my super awesome list of rebate apps so you can start saving money!!!

**Ibotta: current total earnings $55.60 in 5 months.

Check out Ibotta & get cash back! Install using my referral code & you’ll get an extra $5:

**Snap by Groupon: current total earnings $.75 just started using this one today!

Mommy’s Monthly Present!

As a mom you are constantly choosing your children or significant other over yourself, so it’s nice when you find something simple that you can indulge in all for yourself!

I joined Ipsy last year and I get a glam bag every month! It’s only $10 and it comes with 5 beauty products. Some are full size products and some are sample size. Here are some of the products I’ve received.

The first bag I received had over $30 worth of products in it, so this bag is a steal at $10!

All of your products come packed in a new bag that’s part of their theme for the month! Here are some of my bags.

You can repurpose your bags for a ton of different uses. I like to use mine as a clutch on date night. I’ll also never need to buy a pencil case for my kids. 👍🏼

You can get your glam bag by using the link below! I would love to hear about your experience with the Ipsy Glam Bag!

Shea Moisture Review

This Shea moisture baby wash has become my new favorite baby bath product!

Since abandoning the typical Johnson & Johnson baby products due to their use of harsh chemicals, we opted for this brand. It came highly recommended from my mommy friends and it’s wonderful. It was difficult to find at first but recently our local CVS started stocking it and it’s matching lotion.

So the EWG give this product a rating of 1. Which eases my mommy mind. I can feel good about using this product on my son.

This product is made with certified organic ingredients. They also do not contain mineral oil, phthalates, parabens, sulfates, gluten, animal ingredients, paraffin, propylene glycol, synthetic fragrance, and DEA. They also do not test on animals.

I also like the scent that it comes in. They also make a fragarance free version for baby’s with sensitive skin.

This product lathers well and a little bit goes a long way. I use about a quarter size drop in a wash cloth and I am able to clean my 7 month old from head to toe without losing the lather.

I recommend this product to anyone who is trying to use more natural products on their children. They also make great adult products too. 😊

With love,
